Microzide is a medicine indicated to treat edema and high blood pressure.

How Taken

You should take Microzide in the morning. You may take the medicine with milk or food to avoid stomach problems.

Missed Dose

In case you miss a dose, take the missed tablet as soon as you remember. However, if it is already time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and take the regular dose. Do not take a double dose to catch up the missed one.

Possible Side Effects

Among the adverse effects caused by Microzide are: black, tarry stools; blood in urine or stools; cough or hoarseness; fever or chills; joint pain; lower back or side pain; painful or difficult urination; pinpoint red spots on skin; skin rash or hives; stomach pain with nausea and vomiting; unusual bleeding or bruising; yellow eyes or skin. Discontinue the usage of Microzide in case you experience any side effects that bother you and consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

Microzide should be stored at a room temperature below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C). The medicine should be kept in a tightly-closed container, away from heat, moisture and light. Keep Microzide away from children.

Overdose

Immediately search for medical help if you suspect an overdose. An overdose of Microzide may be signaled by symptoms like unconsciousness, nausea/vomiting, weakness, slow or shallow breathing, dizziness, confusion, unusually slow heartbeat, seizures, drowsiness, or fainting.
