Drug Uses Celexa is a medicine from a class of drugs known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. It works as it affects the unbalanced chemicals in the brain that cause the depression. Overdose An overdose of Celexa, alone or combined with other drugs and/ or alcohol, may be signaled by dizziness, sweating, nausea, vomiting, tremor, somnolence, and sinus tachycardia. Very rare symptoms include amnesia, confusion, coma, convulsions, hyperventilation, cyanosis, rhabdomyolysis, and ECG changes.
