Buspar Anti-anxiety Medicine
Buspar is an anti-anxiety medicine that affects chemicals in your brain that may become unbalanced and cause anxiety. Buspar is used for anxiety disorders treatment and for relief of the symptoms of anxiety. Symptoms includes tension, dizziness, fear, irritability, pounding heartbeat, and other physical symptoms.

Drug Uses Buspar is a drug indicated for treatment of generalized anxiety disorder. Buspar may also be used for treatment of other medical conditions. It works as it affects the unbalanced chemicals in the brain that cause the anxiety. How Taken Buspar may be taken with food or milk to avoid stomach problems. The medicine should be taken exactly as prescribed; do not take larger doses of the medicine and do not take it more often. The symptoms of your condition should start improving within 7 to 10 after you have begun using Buspar. A period of 3-4 weeks may be required before the best results of the medicine are achieved. Warnings/Precautions Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, any drug allergies. Reduce the consummation of alcohol because it may enhance the dizziness or drowsiness caused by Buspar. Be cautious when performing activities that require alertness, such as driving. Consult your doctor before using Buspar in case you are pregnant. Also, consult your doctor if you are breast feeding because it is not known if the medicine passes into breast milk. Missed Dose If you miss a dose, you should take it as soon as possible and continue taking your next doses at regular intervals. However, if it is already time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and take the regular dose. Do not take a double dose of this medicine. Possible Side Effects Buspar may cause the following side effects: drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, fatigue, weakness, vivid dreams, sleeplessness, dry skin, blurred vision, altered sense of taste and smell, weight gain, muscle aches, ringing in the ears, nausea, and headaches. Inform your doctor if these side effects worsen. Consult your doctor if you have abnormal movements or "twitches" of the face or neck muscles, other involuntary movements or tremors, depression, confusion, incoordination, chest pain, breathing difficulties. You may also experience other adverse effects that are not mentioned in this leaflet. Consult your doctor if you experience some other side effects. Storage Buspar should be kept in its original tightly closed container. Store the medicine at a room temperature, away from excessive heat and moisture. Keep it away from children. Any left-over or outdated medicine should be thrown away. Overdose An overdose may be signaled by nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, and decreased pupil size. Immediately search for medical help if you suspect an overdose. More Information Inform your doctor about all other prescribed or not prescribed medicines that you are taking, and especially about medicine for anxiety or depression, azole or macrolide antibiotics, haloperidol, and narcotic pain medications. Do not consume grapefruit or grapefruit juice. Do not star or stop using any medicines without a consultation with your doctor.
